Sole Trader and Partnerships
For individuals and/or partnerships that are new to self-employment as well as those who have been so for years, Comp-U-Count can help with your business needs. For those that are new start-ups we can aid you in registering your new business with HMRC, as well as advising you on the best way to keep your records ready for completion of your annual accounts. For new and established alike, we will take the information you provide us with and use it to prepare your annual accounts, all the while keeping in contact with you on the progress and providing you with any queries we may have. Right from the start we will advise you on what is and what isn’t a claimable expense, including invoice requirements. As well as the annual accounts we will complete your individual SA returns (SA100) as well as your Partnership Return (SA800) if applicable. All finalised documents will be shared with you for your review, approval and signature and we will hold your hand and explain each document along the way – we would never ask you to sign something you did not understand or submit anything without your consent. Upon your approval and signature, you are then supplied with a copy of each document you have signed for your records and we will submit to HMRC as well. You will always be made aware of any tax liability due.
VAT Returns
Whether you are already VAT Registered and a dab hand at it or a complete novice to VAT and haven’t got a clue where to start, Comp-U-Count are here to help. We can register new applicants for VAT (whether registering voluntarily or because the threshold has been met and you are legally required to register) as well as deregistering those who no longer wish to be VAT registered or have fallen below the required threshold. Comp-U-Count are there to hold your hand throughout, including processing your sales invoices and VAT-able expenses to completing and submitting your return; Comp-U-Count monitor your sales growth to ensure you are always in line with current obligations.
Limited Companies and Limited Liabilty Parntnerships
As mentioned in Company Secretarial, Comp-U-Count can look after your private limited company or Limited Liability Partnership from its initial setup to registering it at Companies House and HMRC. This includes any Payroll requirements for Directors and employees, please see CIS and Payroll Services. As with sole traders and partnership accounts we will take the information you provide us with and use this to complete your Company Return (CT600) for submission to HMRC and annual accounts for Companies House. No instruction will be carried out without the express permission of those responsible. Individual returns (SA100’s) will also be completed and all paperwork filed with the relevant bodies with copies also being provided to yourselves.
Company Secretarial
Comp-U-Count can look after your private limited company from its initial setup to registering it at Companies House. We can file all mandatory forms including the annual confirmation statement and documents to make legal changes to the company such as appointment/resignation of company directors. We can also help with the preparation of share certificates and dividend vouchers for declaration within required returns.
CIS and Payroll Services
Comp-U-Count can offer a full range of CIS and/or payroll services for your business tailored to your individual requirements. We can help those working within the Construction Industry who are looking to take on sub-contractors by helping them ensure that their potential sub-contractors (or subbies) are registered for CIS to enable the correct amount of tax deductions to be made each month. We can set up a CIS scheme to verify the sub-contractors with HMRC, to prepare the monthly CIS vouchers including forwarding them to yourselves for distribution, prepare and submit your monthly CIS returns including advising you of any CIS liability due to HMRC and how to pay this. Comp-U-Count can also help those companies, partnerships and sole traders looking to take on full or part-time employees as well as apprentices. We can set up your PAYE Scheme and register new and old employees. We can prepare the weekly/bi-weekly/monthly payslips and distribute these accordingly as well preparing and making the mandatory declarations to HMRC. Included in these services are advising you of any PAYE and NIC deductions due for payment and how to pay these, preparation of annual P60’s and Leavers P45’s and the administration of your employer’s pension scheme. Advice throughout the year on details such as increases in National Minimum Wage and Employer’s Obligations are also part of the service we proudly provide.
